Where does the XBLA stand now? There's some great games in there. Let's take a quick rundown of some of the best the Arcade has to offer.
Limbo
I personally have this game and recommend it. If your a puzzle freak with a sick twist this is the game for you. The eerie feel of the game makes it seem the boy is either lost or abandoned. We don't know that he is lost or abandoned you just FEEL he is and you have the need to move to the right and keep going.
The puzzles are challenging but not impossible. Are you saving the boy or is he leading you to your own destruction? I don't know but I want to find out.
Lara Croft: Guardian of Light
Guys don't like playing as a woman, kind of creeps them out. It's an oddness to me, as a woman I play most games as a man and could care less, guys don't like it so much.
The ONLY exception is Lara Croft. Angelina Jolie in a video game and you have a hit.
When it comes to Guardian of Light they've dropped the Tomb Raider and gone in a different direction and it's payed off. The Guardian of Light is refreshing and fun in the XBLA. Check it out and get the co-op (to be released as a patch free in September), collectibles, tons of action, a variety of enemies, lots of replay value & DLC support. .
Toy Soldiers
It’s a tower defense tower game at it’s core, but what really sets it apart from this genre is the ability to take control of your unit in 3rd person, then attack the enemies yourself — simply genius.
It's fun and you can play with your friends. Always my kind of game.
Monday Night Combat
This game is awesome, whether your playing as an Assassin or mowing down stuff in a tank, it doesn't get any better.
It's a first person shooter hiding in a tower defense game. Best of all it's 4 v 4.
Other top sellers are Magic: The Gathering, Scott Pilgrim and Castle Crashers.
See you on the dashboard.
